VELB, as the European Association, addresses you bilingually in the Homepage so that you can now find all information in English and in German.  There is also information on the French and Italian continuing education offerings of the VELB European Institute for Breastfeeding and Lactation in these languages..

Following the last IBLCE Exam, there are now 2961 IBCLCs in the VELB area, 1961 of them German-speaking. Our warmest congratulations to them all.

Our association is growing: More and more country associations in Europe want to become members. The newest country interested is Greece. You are very welcome!

Among these are the new ILCA guidelines “Clinical Guidelines for the Establishment of Exclusive Breastfeeding” published in 2005 and by VELB in German translation in 2006.
